Disabled Veterans Leader

NEW ORLEANS —
The new national commander of the million-member Disabled American Veterans is an ex-Marine crippled by shrapnel in Vietnam nearly 20 years ago. Gregory C. Reed, 48, of Indianapolis, promised Thursday to lobby Congress to keep its promise of caring for disabled veterans.
