To entice students of all ages, the Conejo Valley Adult Education program is offering more than 300 classes for the fall semester, which begins Sept. 9.

From computer classes to CPR training and art workshops, Adult Education classes are open to people who live in the Conejo Valley and beyond, spokeswoman Twila Cook said. Depending on the class, prices range from gratis to $89 for six hours of computer training.

“Sometimes people can’t believe we’re here . . . and that we’re so cheap,” Cook said.

Adult Education’s most popular offerings are the English as a Second Language and literacy classes, both of which are free. The adult school is also an official GED and citizenship-testing center.

The adult school, which last year enrolled about 9,000 students, offers classes at 24 sites. Most classes are offered at the adult school campus, 1025 Old Farm Road, Thousand Oaks.
