Committee Will Deal With Road Project
Responding to residents’ demands, the City Council has formed a committee of city officials and residents to deal with issues concerning the resurfacing of Bake Parkway.
The residents, led by the Lake Forest II Master Homeowners Assn., have asked that traffic be rerouted when the road is resurfaced in the coming fiscal year, to avoid noise and safety problems.
They have also asked that a sound wall be included in the project, and that the city install double-paned windows in about 100 homes along certain sections of Bake Parkway to reduce noise.
Councilwoman Ann Van Haun said residents were included in the new Bake Parkway Working Group “so they can work with staff to help solve the problems. We want citizens to be part of the solution.”
