High-tech house hunting--utilizing the Internet and online computer services--can save you time and money.
Learn how to put ‘90s technology to work in your home search at The Times Home Buyers Fair on Saturday, Aug. 31, at the Burbank Hilton and Convention Center, 2500 Hollywood Way, Burbank.
Technology and Internet experts will be on hand to demonstrate how to get hooked into the Internet, where to find government foreclosures, how to retrieve IRS realty tax forms and how to find mortgage charts that compare current mortgage rates and adjustable-rate indices.
Experts from The Times will demonstrate the newspaper’s new Real Estate section on LATimes.com and the California Assn. of Realtors will show you how to find home listings. Internet access will be free at the fair.
There will also be workshops, presented in the morning and the afternoon, on home buying and mortgages. Morning sessions will run from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and the afternoon workshops from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m.
Tickets are $6, or $5 with a coupon. See ad on K5.
