Jurassic Lawsuit: When Milton and Katie O’Brien learned that they had built a delicatessen on the very spot where scenes from “Jurassic Park” were shot, it was easy to come up with a name. The Jurassic Park Cafe opened three weeks ago in Kapaa, Hawaii, complete with fake dinosaur bones. “We’re really small, so we didn’t think anyone would care,” said Katie O’Brien. . . . But Universal Studios found out and came charging through the jungle like a Tyrannosaurus rex. . . .

Extinct: The Universal City studio sued, demanding that the cafe change its name and even remove a sign identifying the spot as a former movie set, Milton O’Brien said. The couple has complied and their plight is front-page news on the island of Kauai. “It’s surprising that they came after us,” Katie said. “Now we’re not sure what to call ourselves.” . . . Says Universal: “We do everything possible to protect our trademarks and copyrights.”

A QB for CSUN: Now Aaron Flowers will get a chance to exact his revenge. Flowers, a junior at Cal State Northridge, on Monday was named the Matadors’ starting quarterback, beating out four others (C5). . . . It means Flowers will lead Northridge’s offense in the Sept. 7 opener against Utah State, where Flowers began his college career three years ago. He left because Utah State coaches said he wasn’t good enough to play there.
