Cessna Gets $600-Million Jet Order: The Wichita, Kan.-based company will sell 25 Citation X and 20 Citation VII business jets to Executive Jet Aviation in the largest order ever booked by Cessna Aircraft Co., the companies said. Executive Jet is the world’s largest commercial operator of business jets with a fleet that includes more than 50 Citation S/IIs and Ultras. The deal surpasses Executive Jet’s purchase of 25 Citation Ultras jets from Cessna, a Textron Inc. unit, in July 1994. Deliveries are scheduled to begin next year. Montvale, N.J.-based Executive Jet will use the planes in a program started in 1987 in which customers purchase an ownership stake in a business jet based on amount of flying.
