Club Sportswear, the Irvine-based men’s apparel company, is inviting women to join the club.

Girl’s Club, the company’s new line of women’s apparel, made its debut this past weekend at the Action Sports Retailer Show in San Diego’s bay-front convention center. The line, which is designed to appeal to older teens and twentysomethings, will be shipped to stores in early 1997.

Club isn’t the only beach-oriented company making inroads into the women’s apparel market. Quiksilver has done well with its Roxy line and Gotcha has unveiled its Girlstar line.
