OCC Tech Division Gets Acting Dean
Robert H. Mendoza Jr. has been appointed acting dean of Orange Coast College’s technology division for the 1996-97 academic year.
“This is an exciting challenge,” said Mendoza, 46, a Huntington Beach resident. “OCC’s technology division is dynamic . . . a national leader. I’m happy to be a member of that team.”
Mendoza joins OCC from Golden West College in Huntington Beach, where he has been a member of the faculty since 1993. For the past year, he has been associate dean for educational support services at Golden West.
As division dean at OCC, Mendoza will oversee 13 programs, including architectural technology, aviation technology, construction technology, electronics technology and welding technology.
