IRVINE —
STM Wireless Inc. received a $4.3-million order from Telecomunicacoes da Bahia S.A. to expand a telecommunications network previously supplied by STM in the state of Bahia, Brazil.
The company said the expansion will allow the addition of 28 local offices to provide telephone services with operator assistance for small towns.
In addition, the main toll office in Bahia will be connected to regional offices to improve the quality and coverage in those areas, STM said.
