Share

The Fran Joswick Therapeutic Riding Center will have its 18th annual Country Barbecue Saturday to raise funds to help benefit about 500 people with disabilities.

The event features riding demonstrations by the center’s students, as well as a silent auction, country and western dancing, a pig-penning contest, children’s games and a ribs and chicken dinner.

The fund-raiser, from 2 to 8 p.m., will help support horseback riding therapy for those with disabilities such as hearing and sight loss, paraplegia, cerebral palsy, mental retardation and autism.
