Indictments Lodged for Murder, Drug Suspects
Ten alleged members of a drug ring that grew from a Brooklyn street gang were indicted on federal charges they murdered nine people and ran a crack operation, officials said.
Thursday’s indictment charges them with acts of extreme violence aimed at rival drug traffickers, errant workers and potential witnesses against the gang.
The Raysor Organization--headed by brothers Umeme Raysor, 25, and Chaka Raysor, 27--grew during the last 11 years from a neighborhood gang to a large-scale organization with operations in Virginia, North Carolina and Delaware, the indictment said.
