Loss at State of the Art

IRVINE — State of the Art Inc. said it expects to report a loss for the third quarter on lower revenue. The company, which develops and markets accounting software, earned $1.2 million, or 12 cents a share, in the third quarter last year on revenue of $12.2 million.

The company attributed the lower revenue partially to product delays.
