House Minority Leader Richard A. Gephardt (D-Mo.) on Friday amended his financial disclosure form for 1992 to report previously undisclosed rental income.

Gephardt and his wife had about $24,000 in rental income that year from a vacation home in the Outer Banks of North Carolina, said his attorney, Robert Bauer.

Gephardt did disclose rental income on the property for 1993, 1994 and 1995 and will do so for this year, Bauer said. The property was sold in the spring.

Bauer said Gephardt sold a half-interest in the property in 1992 and reported the $30,000 to $40,000 in capital gains he received.

However, Gephardt inadvertently failed to check a box showing that the property had rental income and to list the range of that income, Bauer said.
