AT&T; Picks Microsoft Browser: AT&T; Corp. chose Microsoft Corp.’s browsing software as the product of choice for its Internet-access service, bumping Netscape Communications Corp. AT&T;, headquartered in Basking Ridge, N.J., and Redmond, Wash.-based Microsoft first teamed up in July in the Internet-access market, when AT&T; agreed to offer Microsoft’s browser to users of its Internet service. In return, AT&T;’s WorldNet service is included as part of Microsoft’s Windows 95 operating system. Before this summer’s agreement, AT&T; had offered only Netscape’s Navigator software. Microsoft’s Internet Explorer will now be the browser that users see first, a position Netscape used to have.
