Supreme Court Denies Honeywell Motion: Honeywell Inc.’s plan to take its patent battle with Litton Industries Inc. to the U.S. Supreme Court was rejected, Litton said. The high court’s decision to deny Honeywell’s motion comes after an appeals court declined to review an earlier ruling that Honeywell should pay damages to Litton for patent infringement. The case, and a related antitrust case, will return to U.S. District Court in Los Angeles to determine the damages to Woodland Hills-based Litton. The case involves a process used to coat mirrors used in an aircraft navigation system. Minneapolis-based Honeywell, a maker of electronics for aerospace, residential, commercial and industrial use, did not have an immediate comment.
