Jupiter is the bright “star” nine degrees to the left of the thin crescent moon tonight. Both are in Sagittarius,t he main part of which is directly below Jupiter. The chart shows the sky at 8 p.m. The moon and Jupiter set about 10:30 p.m. On Friday the moon will have moved above Jupiter, but they remain in Sagittarius.
