Lenmana Guerin; Native American Actress
Lenmana Guerin, 64, a Native American actress in film and television. Guerin, who worked in Hollywood for four decades, began her career in the early 1950s. She often took character roles for minorities other than her own, as in the film “Elephant Walk” starring Elizabeth Taylor and set in Ceylon. Guerin was a full-blooded member of the Coast Salish Nations of northwestern Washington state and a protege of the actor Iron Eyes Cody. On Sunday in Sun Valley, Calif., of polymyositis, a muscle-wasting disease.
