Conejo Homes Sales Slip in September From August

There were 241 single-family homes sold in September in the Conejo Valley. This compares to 300 sold in August and 229 a year earlier, according to the Conejo Valley Assn. of Realtors.

The September median sales price for single-family homes was $257,758, compared with $247,394 in September 1995. The median price is the point where half the units sold for more and half for less.

The breakdown of the median prices was as follows: $160,000 for 12 homes up to two bedrooms; $201,923 for 82 three-bedroom homes; and $340,908 for 147 homes with four or more bedrooms.

This compares to sales in September 1995 of $170,000 for 17 two-bedroom homes; $206,034 for 79 three-bedroom homes; and $294,696 for 133 homes with four or more bedrooms.

There were 55 condominiums sold in the Conejo Valley in September, compared with 76 the month before and 55 in September 1995.

Total real estate transactions in September totaled $78.3 million; in September 1995 the figure was $75.2 million.
