Four Texas Players Met With Agent
Texas Coach John Mackovic said four Longhorns players met with an agent Sunday but no apparent violations of NCAA rules occurred. Mackovic said the four players--receiver Mike Adams, cornerback Bryant Westbrook and safeties Tre Thomas and Chris Carter--would be held out of the starting lineup for Saturday’s game against Baylor after confirming that they met with an agent at a luxury hotel in Austin. . . . Kansas strong safety Maurice Gaddie was suspended by Coach Glen Mason for violating team rules and will not travel with the team to Iowa State on Saturday.
