WHERE THERE’S SMOKE

Margo Kaufman should not light up, but she should lighten up (“Cigars Stink!” Sept. 29). If she doesn’t like cigars, she should stay out of cigar rooms. I don’t care much for gasoline exhaust fumes, so I stay away from gardeners who operate those awful blowers.

As a cigar smoker, I enjoy my cigars in my garage, in my truck and in wide-open outdoor locations where there are few people. No one should smoke anything in a cleaner’s shop or in any other place where smoking is not welcomed.

I am grateful to have a place like Churchill’s in Long Beach where fellow cigar appreciators can gather. I invite Kaufman to stay away.
