Lawmaker’s Slaying Spurs Special Session

Ukraine’s parliament will meet in a special session to address crime and corruption after the gangland-style killing of a wealthy and prominent member of parliament. Yevgeny Shcherban was shot to death in a rain of gunfire when he climbed off a plane in Donetsk, about 330 miles southeast of Kiev, the capital. At least two people were injured in the attack.
