Antiabortion Killer’s Death Sentences Stay

The state Supreme Court upheld the double-murder conviction and death sentences of a man who used a shotgun to kill a doctor and an unarmed escort outside an abortion clinic. Paul Hill, an abortion opponent who contended he committed justifiable homicide, was sentenced two years ago to die in the electric chair for the murders of Dr. John Bayard Britton, 69, of Fernandina Beach and James H. Barrett of Pensacola.
