Celebrity-Decorated Trees Set for Auction

Christmas trees decorated by such celebrities as Mel Gibson, Julia Roberts, Tony Danza, Whoopi Goldberg, Shirley MacLaine, Jenny McCarthy, Jane Seymour, David Hasselhoff, and Tori and Randy Spelling will be on display and up for silent auction at the Beverly Hilton Hotel from Dec. 16-20.

In an annual event, the trees will be auctioned off to benefit SHARE Inc., a charity that funds vocational training and the teaching of independent living skills for the mentally retarded, developmentally disabled and abused.

Winners of the trees will be notified on Dec. 21.

Merv Griffin, Christina Ferrare and Vin Scully will host a lighting ceremony and unveiling of the trees on Dec. 16 at 6 p.m.
