Police to Sell Items at Auction Saturday

The Police Department will hold its semi-annual auction Saturday and is inviting the public to come and bid.

Included on the auction block will be bicycles, hand tools, used furniture, clothes, microwave ovens and jewelry that were unclaimed by their owners.

Perspective bidders may view the property from 8 to 9 a.m.; bidding will begin at 9 a.m.

The auction will take place in the parking lot behind the Police Department, 237 W. Commonwealth Ave.

Officials said only cash will be accepted.

Proceeds will be added to the city’s coffers.
