Florida Expected to Set Sanctions

Florida authorities are expected to announce sanctions against Prudential Insurance Co. at a news conference scheduled this morning in Tallahassee.
A spokesman for the state insurance office would not discuss details of the news conference, but sources said Florida regulators will seek authority to suspend or revoke Prudential’s license to market insurance in that state. Florida also is expected to file a racketeering complaint against the industry giant, sources said.
