Roads to Rehabilitation

Share

How do you cope with the day-to-day pain of arthritis? How can you help a loved one recover from a stroke, surgery or a pulmonary condition?

Ruth Testafaye, a rehabilitation specialist, will answer those questions and provide more information today at a community health lecture in Inglewood.

The lecture, part of a series of afternoon seminars, is geared toward adults and senior citizens with chronic health problems and their caregivers.

It will also include advice for people who have recently had a stroke or surgery and need rehabilitative therapy to recover fully.

The lecture series on health-related topics is being presented by the Crippled Children’s Society of Southern California and Centinela Hospital.

“This lecture series is just one way we try to fulfill what we feel is our responsibility for educating the public,” said June Williams, hospital spokeswoman.
