Sergeant Gets Prison in Abuse of Trainees

An Army drill sergeant stationed at Ft. Leonard Wood was sentenced to 18 months in prison and a dishonorable discharge after admitting he abused six female recruits, including fondling one and checking others for bras. Staff Sgt. Anthony S. Fore, 36, of Detroit, pleaded guilty at a court-martial to failing to obey a general regulation, indecent assault and assault and battery. Judge Col. Gregory O. Varo convicted Fore of additional counts of disobeying a general regulation and indecent assault.
