Feathers Fly at Practice

A surprisingly heated fight broke out between Mighty Duck defenseman David Karpa and tough winger Warren Rychel during a scrimmage Wednesday, and they went at it a second time a few minutes after their teammates pulled them apart.

“It’s good to blow off a little steam,” Karpa said afterward.

Rychel, still seeming upset, held reporters off with his hand, saying he didn’t want to talk.

Coach Ron Wilson said he cut the scrimmage short after Karpa and Rychel went at it again, hoping it will blow over even though he called both “stubborn.”
