A Week of Clouds and Rain Forecast
The San Fernando Valley will get wet again this week--showers could start by this afternoon--as a spillover continues from rougher storms hitting the Pacific Northwest.
“It looks like a weak front will be moving through,” said Jay Stockton, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Oxnard.
“It will weaken quite a bit as it comes through. However, there are other systems lined up behind that.”
Although the Pacific Northwest is experiencing freakish weather, the precipitation Los Angeles area has been seeing is no more than usual for this time of year. Today’s rain is expected to be light.
“We suspect the amount to be measurable and generally less than half an inch in the Valley,” said Stockton, adding that not much sunshine will be seen this week. “We’re going to keep clouds around for the most part. There might be a few blue-sky areas somewhere.”
The cloudiness will keep temperatures from fluctuating. Highs will likely be in the 60s.
For today, the high temperature forecast for Woodland Hills and Burbank is 60 degrees. The low for Woodland Hills is 54 and for Burbank, 55.
