3 Swim Instructors Get National Award

Three Orange County swim instructors have been honored by the National Swim School Assn.

Julie Albers of the Shoreline Swim School in Irvine, Chris Scott of the Australian Swim School in Santa Ana and Rosie Noon of the Blue Buoy Swim School in Tustin were among the 36 recipients of the association’s Outstanding Swim School Teacher award at its annual conference in Phoenix.

A total of 800 instructors were nominated for the title.

The group, based in St. Petersburg, Fla., recognizes instructors who show commitment to teaching adults and children water safety and swimming.
