Parkway Tree Planting Will Honor Holiday

In honor of the Jewish holiday of Tu Bishvat, 60 parkway trees will be planted Feb. 16 in the neighborhood north of La Palma Avenue and south of the Riverside Freeway and Romneya Drive.

ReLeaf Anaheim in partnership with the Jewish Federation of Orange County and local residents will plant the trees in honor of the holiday, which is an annual celebration of trees. The planting will begin with a prayer and planting demonstration at 9 a.m.

Volunteers interested in helping with the tree planting are asked to meet on the southwest corner of Romneya and Briarwood Street, east of East Street.
