Ford Motor Co. said it will restart production on Expedition sport-utility vehicles today at its Wayne, Mich., plant, which has been shut down since Friday because of a supplier’s strike. . . . A group of 2,000 New York doctors is expected to join the AFL-CIO union today, the union said. The physicians, who own a managed-care company called MDNY Healthcare, are set to join the Office & Professional Employees International Union. The first doctors union was formed in October by a group of podiatrists. . . . Saying it is growing frustrated with management at WMX Technologies Inc., a group led by investor George Soros called for the ouster of the company’s chief executive and the election of four people to its board.
