From Times Staff and Wire Reports

A youth soccer league has rescinded its offer of a coaching position to a teenager charged with killing his newborn son. Brian C. Peterson Jr., 18, was invited last week by his former high school soccer coach, Evan Baumgarten, to help coach a team in Wyckoff’s Torpedoes Soccer Club. But over the weekend, club President Dan Caldwell told Baumgarten to withdraw the offer. Peterson and Amy Grossberg, both of Wyckoff, are charged with murder in the death of their infant son, whose body was found in a trash bin outside a Delaware motel.
