Expensive Guitars Stolen From Shop
Sheriff’s investigators asked the public for help Thursday in a search for two men who stole a pair of guitars valued at $6,300 from a music shop.
One of the men bolted from Shade Tree Stringed Instruments, at 28062 Forbes Road, at 3:30 p.m. Thursday with a Martin D-35 Anniversary guitar and a Taylor 810 guitar and jumped in a running minivan driven by his accomplice, authorities said.
The man who snatched the two premium guitars was described by witnesses as a Latino male, about 25 to 30, about 6 feet and between 160 and 180 pounds, Lt. Richard Paddock of the Orange County Sheriff’s Department said. He was wearing a plaid shirt and blue jeans.
The driver, who visited the store earlier, was described as a Latino man in his late 20s or 30s, about 5-foot-9, 160 to 180 pounds and wearing a white T-shirt and blue jeans. He also had a tattoo on his right forearm.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call investigators at (714) 288-6741.
