John Davidson has become the city of Sierra Madre’s third city administrator in four years as City Council members chose to promote their public works director to the top position.
An administrator who since 1995 has overseen everything from Sierra Madre’s roads to its water department, Davidson, 44, succeeds interim City Administrator Charles Martin.
Davidson garnered widespread support in the city known for its village atmosphere, officials said.
“John has a great attitude and an abundance of energy,” Councilman Doug Hayes said. “He is popular among the council, the staff and the residents. He has a wonderful outlook on life.”
