College to Honor OCPAC Chair Johnson

Mark Chapin Johnson, board chairman of the Orange County Performing Arts Center, will be honored as Man of the Year at the Cypress College Americana Awards banquet Saturday.
In addition to Johnson, a resident from each city served by the community college will be recognized as Citizens of the Year. Those to be honored are Elsie Reed, Anaheim; Donna Chessen, Buena Park; Darrell Essex, Cypress; Harry and Erline Krebs, Garden Grove; Police Chief David S. Barr, La Palma; Anthony Selvaggi, Los Alamitos; and Neal Hopkins, Stanton.
Honorees were chosen on the basis of community service by the nonprofit Cypress College Foundation.
Reservations for the dinner and entertainment at the Disneyland Hotel in Anaheim are $150 a person, $1,500 for a table of 10, or $2,500 for a founder’s table. Reservations: (714) 826-3631; or (714) 826-2220, Ext. 126.
