Graphix Zone Reports Net Loss

Graphix Zone Inc., which develops and publishes entertainment, interactive music and Internet retail products, reported a second quarter net loss of $2.9 million, or 27 cents a share, compared with a net loss of $4.6 million, or $1.01 a share, for the corresponding period a year ago. Revenue for the quarter ended Dec. 31 increased 45% to $1.6 million from $1.1 million. For the first half, the company recorded a net loss of $2.6 million, or 24 cents a share, compared with a net loss of $6 million, or $1.35 a share, for the first six months of the prior year. Revenue rose to $5 million from $2 million.
