Council to Review Senior Housing Plan

Share

The City Council will review plans next month for a 143-unit senior housing complex, which was approved this week by the Planning Commission.

Commissioners downsized the apartment building plan from five to four stories and from 152 to 143 units before passing it to the City Council.

Residents living near the proposed development at Oso Parkway, between Interstate 5 and Marguerite Parkway, had complained about the project’s size and density.

Because the site is being changed from a commercial to a senior housing zone, the city’s general plan, which guides city development, must also be changed by the City Council. The council’s plan review is set for March 24.
