Goodman on Teens

Re “Be Parents, Not Parole Officers,” by Ellen Goodman, Commentary, Feb. 11: It was a pleasure to see such a rational and civilized approach to parenting. It is high time we stopped treating our children like property and started treating them like what they are, people who don’t have as much experience as their parents. Children should be taught, not persecuted.
