Woman Sues, Says Officer Seduced Her
An Anaheim woman Friday sued Orange County and its Probation Department for negligence, battery, fraud and sexual harassment, claiming her probation officer seduced her in the course of his duties.
The suit, field on behalf of Shelley Pauw in Superior Court, claims that Deputy Probation Officer Tom Agee misused his position to seduce her this past November and December. The suit alleges 11 different civil torts and cites Chief Probation Officer Michael Schumacher for recklessly employing Agee and failing to properly supervise him.
At the time, Pauw was on probation and Agee, a clinical therapist, entered into a psychotherapeutic relationship with her and “encouraged [Pauw] to fall in love” with him, according to court papers. The suit alleges that Agee engaged in sexual intercourse with Pauw on several occasions.
