From Times Staff and Wire Reports

Computer hackers invaded a NASA Internet Web site, altering a picture of the space shuttle and threatening an electronic terrorist attack against corporate America, said Brian Dunbar, NASA’s Internet services manager. The hackers broke into the Web site and substituted an altered page for one routinely posted by NASA, he said. Engineers at the Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Md., location of the Web server, saw the change and took the server off line. The altered page was available for about 30 minutes, he added.
