More Than 50 Firms Expected at Job Fair

Recruiters from more than 50 major corporations will be at Valley College’s 18th annual job fair Wednesday to meet prospective employees.

Representatives will provide information about current and future openings at the job fair, which will run from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Monarch Square at the center of campus, said Judith Trester, director of the college’s Cooperative Education program, the event’s sponsor.

Among the corporations scheduled to participate are Bank of America, Macy’s, United Parcel Service, Good Guys, IKEA Furniture, Avon, Six Flags Magic Mountain, L.A. Cellular, Northridge Medical Center, the FBI, the Department of Veterans Affairs and the Los Angeles police and fire departments, Trester said.

The event is free and open to the public. The campus is at 5800 Fulton Ave.
