Pico Products Losses for 2nd Quarter Grow

Pico Products Inc., a Lake View Terrace maker of electronic components, said its loss for the second fiscal quarter that ended Jan. 31 widened to $350,068 from $99,286 in the corresponding quarter last year.

Sales for the quarter were $8.9 million, up 5% from $8.5 million for the same period last year.

For the six months, the loss widened to $224,882 compared to $97,229 last year.

Sales for the six months were $18.6, up 10% from $16.9 million last year.

The company said sales growth in the second quarter was disappointing and increased interest and selling expenses widened losses.
