Wendy Moore; Artist Specialized in Computer-Altered Landscapes

Wendy Moore, 29, an artist who specialized in computer-altered landscapes. Born in Cleveland, she earned a bachelor’s degree in art at Bates College in Maine and a master’s degree from the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena. She began working with computer-manipulated photographs, sculptures and drawings when she was in graduate school. Part of Moore’s education was in France and Nepal. A resident of Los Angeles for the past five years, Moore worked in movie company art departments as well as in her studio. Her altered landscapes were featured in a display at Los Angeles Contemporary Exhibitions and in the Bradbury Building in 1995. Her latest solo exhibition was last fall at the Los Angeles Center of Photographic Studies. She had also displayed her work at the Bronx Museum of the Arts in 1992. On March 16 in Cleveland of head injuries suffered in a skiing accident.
