IRVINE —
Edison Mission Energy said Monday that it has signed an agreement with the State Electricity Commission of Victoria, Australia, to purchase the 49% of the Loy Yang B Power Station near Melbourne that it does not already own. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Edison Mission Energy, the Irvine-based power station development arm of Edison International, said the acquisition is expected to be completed in early May. The Loy Yang station generates about 18% of Victoria’s electricity.
