Spotlight: 12 Counties Refile Tobacco Suit
Twelve California counties, most notably San Francisco, refiled their federal lawsuit against the tobacco industry, one month after a judge dismissed the complaint. The suit aims to recoup health-care costs, to block the tobacco companies from targeting minors and to force them to disclose nicotine research.
