The parents of Olympic swimming champion Janet Evans have dropped their lawsuit against the Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District.
Paul and Barbara Evans filed the lawsuit in 1995 alleging that early morning practices by El Dorado High School’s marching band on a field near their home were disruptive.
The Evanses, who have since moved from Placentia to South Orange County, lost the case but had appealed the decision.
Janet Evans, winner of four Olympic gold medals, graduated from El Dorado in 1989 and no longer lives at home.
