10 Commandments Fight Inspires Rally

The two-year battle of Judge Roy Moore for the right to display the Ten Commandments in his courtroom has inspired a Christian rally scheduled for the state Capitol in Montgomery. The “Save the Commandments Rally” today has been promoted by Christian broadcasters, and organizers hope to draw as many as 200,000 people. But Montgomery-area motels still had plenty of vacancies and rally promoters refused to talk about numbers anymore. A Montgomery judge declared the practice unconstitutional, but the Alabama Supreme Court stayed the ruling.
