Carpool Lanes

In regard to Assemblyman Tom McClintock’s stand on carpool lanes (“McClintock Drives Home His Objections at Carpool Dedication,” March 14): I’m glad at least one of our elected persons has some sense. He is correct in stating that carpool lanes don’t encourage car-pooling. People will carpool when possible without being forced to.

Taxpayers paid for all of the road; we should be able to use all of the road.
