A SIGHT FOR SORE EYES

I was delighted to see Polly Becker’s exquisite illustrations for “The Comfort of Friends” (by Anna Quindlen, March 2). In this new era of computer slickness and halftone overload, Becker’s pieces were charming, alive, thoughtful and inspirational. What a welcome relief!
